electronic speedo problem

Hi, I have fitted a discovery V8 to my TD5 defender with auto box and transfer box which has a speed transducer, I cant get
the speedo to work.
the transducer is a 2 wire model, I know that the TD5 transducer has 3 wires and wonder would that work, if so what would the third wire connect to and what would be the way to wire it.

any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, Got it sorted, changed the two wire disco speed transducer for a three wire TD5 transducer and earthed the third connection and now getting the speedo showing.
