Range Rover off road wheels/tyres
« on: May 31, 2017, 01:09:45 PM »
Hi all. My Range Rover is currently fitted with 255/50 x 20 Continental Cross Contac ftyres on alloy wheels from a Supercharged version. Whilst these look fab, I don't really want to damage the finish on the rims. What would be an ideal replacement off-road wheel and tyre combination that will fit over the brakes etc?  Is there any alloy wheels/tyres that would roughly be the same rolling circumference. Any thoughts?  Would quite like an aggressive tread pattern.

What age of Range Rover do you have? Also, what engine?

The brakes varied a lot over the years on the L322 and do affect the fitment of certain wheels.

There are still some A/T tyres available in 20" wheels, currently deciding myself what to fit to my D4.

You don't say what age or engine your car is. Knowing that would help.

You may be able to pick up a 2nd set, and downsize to 19" or even 18", where the choice of AT/MT tyres is much larger, and keep the 20"s for daily driving  :)

Thanks for the answers so far. My Range Rover is a 2003 L322 TD6. The spare is an 18" wheel which might suggest its factory fitted size. Thanks
