eBay query

Hi, wondering if anyone can help.  Have spotted something on eBay that I'm interested in and viewing Saturday with auction ending Sunday. 

What's the sketch if I offer cash on Saturday.  Can seller take and withdraw item from auction or are they obliged to complete sale via eBay?

They can end the sale early. Have done this before buying a car.

Hi Andy and thanks for the tip.  Worked a treat - made the guy an offer and was enough for him to take down from eBay. Vim now the proud owner on a 1970s Trials Bike  :)
