Not sure about the Mallory coil choice, someone else will know I'm sure.
That said did you buy the Mallory on yourself? I have never understood why anyone would want points over electronic ignition, personally I would either bin it and get a Lucas dizzy coil and amp or fit a leccy conversion kit to the Mallory.
