Discovery Chassis Number location ?

Selling some parts from a D1 scrapper, I've been asked for the chassis number to help find spares later...

I'm told its similar to a Series, offside front "near the brake pipes" - but I'm not having any luck finding it. Am I looking in the right place ?

( Interestingly the chassis look very solid, the body I've stripped off it was pretty rotten.)

Stamped on the outside of the offside chassis leg, directly above the front axle.
Or on the chassis plate fitted to the front panel, near the bonnet catch.
(The front panel was in the Sankey last I saw it!)
