Posting pictures - how to
« on: February 22, 2019, 07:05:16 PM »
Hi All,
We are working towards website and forum revamp but in the meantime here is some help for posting pictures

Update! 3rd March now 8mb pics can be posted!

Restrictions are 4 per post, max total size of files 8mb! and max individual image size is 8mb
So 1 image at up to 8mb or 4 at 2mb

Images below should help explain process :)

Click the dropdown arrow next to "Attachments and other options" should be simple after that

Hi Neil,

Just had a go at this and obviously didn’t work, I think the issue is with modern technology IPads etc the files are naturally more than the max. size for posting. Most gadgets nowadays will take photos at a much higher resolution and therefore be bigger files. I wouldn’t know where to begin how to reduce the size of a photo on my iPad in order to post.

Not a negative post, just not sure what the way round it is.

Glad things are moving on though.

Cheers Stephen

Thanks for the comments, there is an automatic way to shrink files which will be in new forum. Until thats up and running you could try taking a screenshot of your photo and uploading that file instead of original. Might work.

Join us in Mull and you too can have a sniff in Tobermory

This was a test, you can now post slightly bigger pics. Just an interim update.
