Return spring for Weber 34ICH
« on: October 12, 2011, 05:46:05 PM »
The return spring on my Weber 34ICH carb is broken - I discovered that only the extra return spring I had to fit for Mudmaster, plus the spring on the linkage, are causing the throttle to close. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? (And I'm assuming that replacing it is just a matter of unbolting the crank; let me know if it ain't so!) Replacing the whole carb for the same of a spring would be really daft, but nobody seems to sell just the spring!

Hi graham
i've got a box of two webers in bits including springs and also a couple of spare ones in glasgow.
Post a photo of what you need and i could send the parts or a full spare carb.
kind regards willie

That'd be brilliant. :-)

It's the black spring that's wound round the pivot of the bell-crank. Actually you're right; it's easier for me to picture than describe! I'll take a picture of the thing tonight.

Ta v much in advance. -Graham

Hmph, the forum won't let me upload pictures - apparently it can't write to the upload directory. But I've PMed you, and will happily send pictures if you let me know your email address. Many thanks!
