Decent garage in Glasgow area in case things go wrong?
« on: September 30, 2011, 04:09:06 PM »
Hi guys.

Just wondering if there's a decent garage in Glasgow that can repair/modify 110s without any hassle?

Cheers

Anthony

As far as I have found so far, you need to be prepared to travel, Strathearn just this side of Perth are very good.

Hi guys.

Nothing needs fixed and nothing needs modified yet but just wanted to know if there was a place nearer than the garage I got the motor from (lix toll) who were good with Land Rovers should anything go wrong.

andy white off dalry road in edinburgh is good he was pentland land rover top mechanic before he set up his own garage

Depends on the age; he wouldn't even look at my Lightweight. Which was highly annoying; I stay just off Dalry Road so a garage just round the corner would've been ideal for me! He did, however, refer me to a guy called Gordon who works on old Landies on a farm in the arse end of nowhere sort-of near Ratho (but he's fine with doing pickup/collection runs from places you can actually get a bus to/from). His number is 07949 678383.

Alex I've been using for years. He most certainly knows his stuff, the only problem is that he always has nore work than he can get through, so he has been known to hang on to my motor for literally months before getting it fixed.
