td5 dash in to a 200 tdi strating problem

hi all
 done this conversion
 i think i have it all sussed now with the help of a few on
 here and arcives
 but the prob i am having just now is
 turn ignition on all seems ok but it wont send signal to start engine
 
i have bridged the relay and turn key sends signal
 
what have i forgotten or missed

Hi Mike,

when you replaced dash did you replace steering column,ignition etc. If not then you must first check the solenoid feed from the
ignition switch, if the feed is there then test at the relay in crank position before proceeding to starter.
The connection at starter are bad for corroding and not making a contact.

thanks coohead but got it sorted now
#it was the green alar box that shoukld be behind the
dash
so tried the 1 from my disco all sound now
SO NOW LOOKING FOR A GREEN ALARM BOX

if you earth the orange/black wire that earths the starter relay, i cant see any other need for the 10as box as fitted to the td5s's with your conversion
