leaking rad
« on: February 22, 2014, 05:08:25 PM »
Hi,
For a while now my 03 Freelander TD4 has been losing coolant and i was at a loss at to where it was going. When i stop the engine after a run there is a smell of hot coolant and steam comes from under the bonnet. Upon investigation i have found tell tale sign of a small leak on the right hand side of the rad as viewed from the front of the car and there is pink staining on the rad casing. The amount of coolant lost over a week is between the max and min mark. My question is if i put Innostop into the system will this stop the leak and is this recommended for Landrover.
Any help much appreciated.
Mike.

If it doesn't work the only thing you have lost is the cost of some rad weld, got to be worth a try, it has worked for me in the past with no problems.
